Set up app gates

iOS Shortcuts let you intercept app openings and redirect to Clarity. Here's how to set it up.

How it works

    Download a shortcut below

    Or create your own using our template

  2. 2

    Add to your Automations

    Settings → Shortcuts → Automation → App

  3. 3

    Select "Is Opened" trigger

    Choose the app you want to gate

  4. 4

    Run your shortcut

    Set it to run immediately without asking

Your Gate URL

Use this URL in your shortcuts to open the gate page:

https://yourapp.com/gate?app=APP_NAME

Create Your Own

Build a custom shortcut for any app:

  1. 1. Open Shortcuts app
  2. 2. Create new shortcut
  3. 3. Add "Show Menu" action with options:
    • • "Dump & Clarify" → Open URL: https://yourapp.com/gate?app=YOUR_APP
    • • "10-Min Focus" → Open URL: https://yourapp.com/gate?app=YOUR_APP&focus=10
    • • "Open Anyway" → Open App
  4. 4. Save and add to Automations
